Fantastic Four – Rise of the silver Surfer

The Movie

“Jessica Alba’s movie demons no match for pregnancy food cravings”

Jessica Alba battles demons in her new horror movie The Eye, but the six-month-pregnant Hollywood actress says she turns into “Satan” if she does not satisfy her own food cravings.

Alba does not have one simple craving. The 26-year-old craves food. Any type of food.

“Every couple of hours I turn into Satan if I don’t eat something,” Alba laughed during an interview in Los Angeles.

Wearing a red empire-waisted Gucci dress that exposes a slight baby bump, Alba believes “the gods answered my prayers” when she became pregnant to fiance Cash Warren last year.

The couple met while making the original Fantastic Four film four years ago.

“I was in shock at first,” Alba said when she first saw the positive pregnancy test.

“But we’re so happy.

“My family, everyone, are just thrilled.

“It all seems to be perfect timing.

“Everything fell into place the way it was meant to.”

A paparazzi favourite, particularly because of her expanding waistline, Alba is chased around Los Angeles every time she leaves her Hollywood Hills home.

Despite growing up in front of the public eye – she made her first movie when she was 14 – Alba is baffled by the attention she receives from photographers who trail her car to the supermarket or on other expeditions.

“When I started acting it wasn’t this bad,” Alba said.

“It’s bizarre and it seems like anybody can go buy a camera and call themselves a paparazzi and stalk people for a living.

“It’s really strange.

“I’m not doing anything interesting or salacious.

“I’m not trying to be out there.

“I’m just going to the gym or getting my groceries, normal stuff.”
Alba studied organ transplants and visited patients during her preparation for the film.

“It fascinated me that you can get an organ transplant and take on someone else’s experiences,” she said.

“It really happens, not necessarily with corneal transplants but with other organs.

“That was a really interesting thing to explore and to play someone who was so independent and so sure of herself with this handicap, but when she becomes sighted that’s when the real handicap comes into play and I just love that reverse mentality of it.”

* The Eye opens in Australia on March 27.

Fantastic Four 3 is coming

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer had a solid but not spectacular box office performance, and even though critics savaged it audiences still seem to like it. Moviehole says Fox is going to give the four another shot. Fantastic Four 3 has been greenlit, but MH’s sources tell them that the movie hinges on who they can team the Four up with. Apparently they liked the dynamic between them and Surfer, and don’t want to do another movie without some similar character to replace him.

Well. I also think that the Silver Surfer is a nice caracter, but not insubstituible. The box office in the Silver Surfer was very bad comparing to the first version. So, it’s needed some changes, cause mantaining wath

Fantastic Four – Rise of the Silver surfer – Resume

Two years after the first movie, Reed Richards and his group are back. the movie starts with the wedding between Reed and Sue Storm. But…. a silver object enters in the Earth Atmosphere, radiating cosmic energy that creates massive molecular flutuations and causes very deep craters across the Earth. The governement approaches Reed to build a sensor to track all the movements of this not identified object.

As the wedding begins, Reed detects the object aproaching the New Yourk City. The object destroys the sensors while the Fantastic Four protect the crowd. But the Human Torch purches the object and discovers that he have human similarities, he is named Silver Surfer. He confronts the Surfer, only to be dragged into the upper atmosphere where the Surfer snuffs his flame out, then drops him back towards Earth. But… Johnny reactivates his powers and survives the fall. Reed’s examination of Johnny reveals that exposure to the Surfer has set Johnny’s molecular structure in flux, allowing him to switch powers with his teammates through physical contact. Tracing the cosmic energy of the Surfer, Reed discovers that a series of planets the alien had visited before Earth have all been destroyed. The Earth would be the next target.

The Surfer’s movements around the globe bring him past Latveria, where the cosmic energy affects Victor Von Doom, freeing him from two years as a metal statue. Doom, able to move again and returned to a human (wow), but scarred, form traces the Surfer to the Arctic and makes him an offer to join forces, what is this man? When the Surfer rebuffs him, Doom attacks. The Surfer returns fire, blasting Doom through the ice. The cosmic energy of the Surfer’s blast heals Doom’s body, reversing the changes seen in the first film.

Doom leverages his experience into a deal with the American military, who force the Fantastic Four to work with Doom. Deducing that the Surfer’s board is the source of his power, the group develops a pulse generator that will separate him from it. While setting up the device, Sue is confronted by the Surfer, during which he reveals he is a servant to the destroyer of worlds. The military opens fire on the Surfer, which distracts him and allows the four to fire the pulse, separating the Surfer from his board.

The military imprisons the Surfer in Siberia and forbids the Fantastic Four from interacting with him, while they torture him for information. Sue uses her powers to sneak into his cell, where she learns more information from the Surfer. He tells her his master was known by the people of his world as Galactus, a massive cloud-like cosmic entity which must feed on life-bearing planets to survive, and that his board is a homing beacon which even now summons him to the planet.

Doom, pursuing the power in the board, steals it from the compound, using a device to gain control of the board and its powers. The Fantastic Four rescue the Surfer, and pursue Doom in the Fantasticar, confronting him in Shanghai. During the battle, Sue is mortally wounded. With the Surfer powerless, Johnny absorbs the combined powers of the entire team in order to battle the cosmic energy-empowered Doom. Johnny succeeds in breaking Doom’s control over the Surfer’s board, while the Thing uses a nearby crane to knock Doom into the harbor where he is last seen sinking; however, Galactus has already arrived. The Surfer regains the control of his board, and his power restored. He revives Sue and chooses to defend Earth, flying into Galactus and confronting him. The conflict results in a massive blast of energy, apparently destroying Galactus.

The film ends with Reed and Sue marrying in Japan, but they are again interrupted when Venice is threatened.

The credits cut back to a shot of the Silver Surfer’s seemingly lifeless body floating through space. Just as he drifts off the edge of the screen his eyes open and his board races towards him.

Well. We don’t like to tell the story, but you just read because you wanted! hehe

Regards.

FANTASTIC FOUR – RISE OF SILVER SURFER

The Silver Surfer has appeared in countless Marvel comics over the years, but has also made the transition beyond the printed page to the small screen as part of the animated Fantastic Four series that aired on ABC from 1967 – 1969, as well as appearing in the Fantastic Four cartoon that ran from 1994 – 1996. The Surfer also appears as a secret, unlockable character in the 2006 video game Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and will be portrayed as a live action character for the first time in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver, the sequel to the 2005 film Fantastic Four.

Fantastic Four – Rise of the Silver surfer

Reed “Mr. Fantastic” Richards and Sue “Invisible Woman” Storm are about to get married when an alien they call The Silver Surfer arrives on Earth and starts making huge craters. This is a fantastic movie with nice improvements in the graphics

silversurfer.jpg

It doesn’t take long for the US military to find out the Surfer is threatening Earth’s existence so they ask the Fantastic Four for help but when a first attempt to catch the surfer fails miserably, the military ask Dr. Doom to aid.

But as we all know, Doom cannot be trusted and this time the existence of the entire planet is at risk. Oh yeah!

So, more resumed what happens it that:

- Everyone’s favorite heroic foursome is back, but this time they’re not the only super-powered beings on the block in director Tim Story‘s action-packed sequel to the 2005 hit Fantastic Four. The Silver Surfer has arrived on planet Earth on a mission of destruction. When the havoc wreaked by the strange and shiny visitor catches the attention of four especially powerful Earth dwellers who aren’t willing to go down without a fight, the battle is on to save the planet from certain annihilation. Meanwhile, with his super-powered nemeses momentarily distracted, the nefarious Dr. Doom begins concocting a plan with the potential to overshadow even the Silver Surfer’s destructive antics.

But at the end. In this Fantastic Four Movie, the Silver Surfer is the Hero, he will save day!

In my opinion, this Fantastic Four 2 is very much better that the one. This 2nd history, which represents the episode #48 from the book and the TV series can attract better our emotions while we see the movie.
